CBD, or cannabidiol, is a potent compound produced by and extracted from cannabis. It’s useful for calming the skin, and can be used to treat acne and other skin inflammation issues, like eczema.
The Anti-Inflammatory Power Of Turmeric
Turmeric is a super common spice found in most home spice racks. It has a very strong, distinctive yellow colour, and has anti-inflammatory properties, as well as reducing the appearance of dark spots and pigmentation on the skin.
We have slapped these two together in a simple, quick recipe suitable for even the busiest moms. Apply it to your skin as many times as you’d like, and let it sit for 15 minutes while you treat yourself to a little self-care time. Rinse it off well - otherwise your face may have a slight yellow sheen! Apply your regular serum or moisturizer and you’re all set! Here’s how you make it:
- 1 teaspoon of organic coconut oil
- ½ teaspoon of milk
- a dash of apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon of mommy complex DAILY tincture
Warm coconut oil until it's softened. Place all ingredients in a bowl and stir until thoroughly mixed. Apply to your face and let sit for fifteen minutes. Rinse well.
