DIY Sugar Scrub Recipe With CBD Oil

CBD recipes self-care

CBD sugar scrubs are the perfect addition to your self-care routine. They smell great, they feel great, and they exfoliate tired skin to reveal a fresh, glowing complexion. The addition of CBD to the mix can also help soothe inflammation and makes your skin silky and soft. These sugar scrubs are also super simple and relatively inexpensive to make!

Why sugar? It’s a great natural exfoliant, containing alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) that helps promote healthy skin turnover.

Before we get started, please ensure you have an airtight glass container and a sturdy stirring utensil (the mixture can get quite thick). This recipe will keep for two-three months, and batches can be doubled or tripled if required.

Let’s jump in!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of mommy complex™ DAILY CBD oil tincture
  • 1-2 tablespoons of carrier oil (jojoba, sweet almond, macadamia or coconut oil works well)
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar (white is sensitive enough for face, brown is suitable for an all-purpose exfoliant, and raw sugar should be only used on hands and feet)
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • Optional: 1-2 drops of chosen essential oil

Method

Combine all ingredients in a bowl and hand-stir until completely combined, before transferring into a glass container.

Use

Start by relaxing your body and opening your pores with a nice, hot shower. You can also soak a towel in warm water and apply to the area you’re exfoliating. The steam and heat will prime your skin to absorb all the natural goodness. Gently massage the CBD scrub on your skin with the pads of your fingers in small, circular motions. After 60 to 90 seconds, rinse and pat dry before applying the moisturizer of your choice.

This sugar scrub is super simple to make and great for your skin. For an easy and DIY gift idea, get your kids involved in decorating the jars and send the CBD sugar scrub to your family and friends!
