We all know CBD has the potential to deliver great health benefits, but what we don’t quite yet know is how much CBD a person needs to take to experience those benefits. Sadly, there’s no one-size-fits-all approach when it comes to finding the right CBD dosage for you.
An optimal dose of CBD depends on the following factors: body size, body chemistry, pain or condition an individual is looking to treat, the product type, and the product’s concentration.
In other words, there are A LOT of variables that go into working out which dosage of CBD is right for you. However, due to CBD’s friendly interactions with the human body, you have a lot of leeway in working out your correct dosage. To help you on your way, we’ve put together a brief guide to help you determine your dosage.
Have your end goal in mind:
While CBD carries many potential benefits, it’s always a smart idea to know what you’re taking it for, and what you hope to achieve. It may be a better night’s sleep, a little stress reduction, pain reduction or just an overall feeling of wellbeing. Whatever you’re trying to treat, to find your correct dosage, you need to identify a marker so you know when CBD begins to take effect.
Start low, work your way up slow:
The best way to work out your perfect dose of CBD is to start with a small dosage and gradually increase it until you notice a difference. A smart starting range is 15 to 30 mg per day. After a week, if you don’t notice any difference, increase your dosage by 5 mg per week until desired results are achieved.
Using a notebook or your phone’s ‘notes’ function, start tracking the amount of CBD you’re taking, your pain levels, and any improvements. Refer back to these notes often to see if you notice any correlation in pain or symptom reduction. Once you’ve identified when your symptoms have been alleviated, you’ll know your perfect dosage.
If you’re still feeling unsure on what dosage will work best for you, consult with your doctor, who may be able to advise a smart starting point, depending on your specific condition. For specific mommy complex™ product dosage guides, check out our product pages here.
